| Team Q doing the THT Circuit Boot camp |
Well....it's almost December...pulling my sore body into month number 3. I had some encouraging results recently, almost 21 inches lost overall down 11 pounds. New picture to follow but need more tequila for that for some liquid courage. I actually am starting to feel like an athlete again. Up until recently I had been making this journey by myself. Don't get me wrong...my fabulous new family at Total Home Training www.totalhometraining.com have become like brothers and sisters to me. Lots of your beautiful comments and inspirational words have kept me going...yes YOU if you are reading this and following my journey to become a well oiled machine, you know how tough it can be. But you, my fabulous readers are what keep me going.
But wait.....is it true? I have been joined by my work comrades. Aaron Rand, fab morning man on radio station Q92.5 and his sweet but very cheeky co-host Sarah Bartok. Like most people, you panic when you hear the word "Boot Camp". Visions of an army drill Sergeant making you crawl face first in cold mud, (FYI mud on face should only be expertly applied to your face when you are at a spa. )This kind of Boot Camp does not involve army fatigues or any screaming. It is more circuit training, yes they push your body, but it will do things you didn't think it could do.
Sam, otherwise known as my Fitness Whisperer (because every time I pick up a piece of bread I can hear his voice whisper in my ear DROP IT!) Sam is training Aaron. Let me tell you about the regime of doing morning radio. Up at 4am work till at least noon.....and now both Aaron and Sarah are going to Boot camp without a rest. And they work hard. Really really proud of them. It's not easy. It takes work and discipline. I love that they are on the fitness journey with me.

I like safety in numbers. There is no time for socializing while we are training, time to work sweat and get tight...now that's what I'm talking about........

ReplyDeleteSounds GREAT ! Sounds like you are doing fanstatic ! My father and mother retired this past spring and started walking everday. Started with 5km then 10 and now regularly do 20km. Their motivation...Sophie. They have decided to walk the Camino Santiago de Compostela, is a pilgrimage route which covers southern France and northern Spain. Santiago de Compostela in north west Spain is their final destination all in Sophie's honor. All this to say since August my Dad as dropped 40 pounds and my Mom 30. It's amazing what courage can be gathered when you are well motivate. Keep it up Donna. CHEERS !
