  2. Hey Donna, those before and after pictures are beautiful. I'm ripe for a new look. I've decided to stop colouring my hair so ... good-bye blonde .... hello .... silvery. I actually like the colour that is showing up now .. but I need to .. spiff it up .... make it look even more beautiful.

  4. Hey Donna! I would love to win this complete makeover. As a mother of 3, I have kinda fallen out of doing these girly things...as my hands are full. However, it would be nice if I do win at least, I will get to hang out with you and discuss more "smartie pants" questions!!!! LOL

  5. This is GREAT ! I've never had a make-over done. I think I have worn my long hair the same way for YEARS and never quite know what to do with it so it usually ends up in a pony tail. As far as make-up goes...my husband and kids like it simple so usually a little mascara and eyeliner and that's it. Don't know how to get the radiant natural look we see more and more of. Clothes shopping...what a NIGHTMARE ! Don't have an hourglass figure. Definately 50 pounds over weight so trying to hide that and look my best is not always easy. PLUS hit fourty this year. I am screaming for a change. HELP Donna. May the force be with you :-)

  6. Hi Donna, I'd love to win a Make-Over. First I have never had one. Second my son is going off to college (empty nest) 3. I'm taking care of two parents. I like to look nice however been feeling the slump. Watched your Video and as well your blog on keeping fit or getting in shape. Yes it's my time to take a bit of care of myself. Would love it. I will be watching for updates. Thank you and good luck to the lucky lady that wins. p.s. AKA Susan Ireland on FB. The Ectis is a nick for the web.

  7. Hi Donna,
I recently hosted a surprise 50th for my hubby. While compiling photos our daughters (20 & 22) commented " You always have the same hair" ... we've been together since I'm 16!
Clothes shopping = TORTURE and only when necessary. It somehow always produces same style/colour articles and I don't even realize it. I'm so predictable :(
I have been running my own business where a "Designer look" and "First Impressions" matter. I've been told I can stage, re-design and organize a home with my eyes closed ... seems I've adopted the same approach when it comes to me.
Donna, it would be great to meet you ... I think I'm ready to make the leap into this decade ... it's only been 33 years with the same hair!

  9. Hi Donna, maybe you can help. I have gone from bad to worse and am in desperate need of a makeover. I have always hated going to the hairdresser, so when I did go it was just a cut and let me out (no blowdry). To make matters worse I just turned the big 50 and thought it was time to get rid of the gray.so I dyed my hair by myself and now it is multi-coloured.
Getting dressed is a whole other story, nothing beats good old yoga pants. Please help,I THINK IT IS TIME TO GET OUT OF THIS RUT AND MAKE A CHANGE.

  12. Hi Donna, I checked out the Jewelry and liked what I saw. Very much so. I love how the change was done for the ladies you have showed us. I really like the looks. I am facing an empty nest in less than a week and I know a Make-over would boost my moral. (Can you make me 20 again) I wish...I'm sure it will be so much fun and to get a new look...would just be awesome. Thank you!

  16. For the first time in 22 years we will be a Couple (of old farts) Come the end of this weekend our remaining daughter will be moving from the sticks into the cement jungle :o(
I know it's the cycle of life and we prepare them to be out on their own but that means leaving us ON OUR OWN! Looking at the brighter side; less laundry, cooking and randomly streaking through the house naked.
OK, think I'm cracking a "PAMPER ME DAY " might be just what this (block house) Mom is needing to lift her spirits. I could really use a feel good,"LOOKING GOOD" day to start my new life adventure

I seem to never wear make-up anymore (since I don't go into the office) and would LOVE to update my look!

  21. Good Morning Donna,
Your looking fabulous in all the ads for " The Beat" ...
... correct me if I wrong but looking good boosts confidence and with added confidence one may be encouraged to tackle other personal goals such as eating well and exercising. I believe too that a positive energy attracts the right people and opens doors that would otherwise remain closed ( I've witnessed it) ... good luck to all the deserving women in the contest who could really use a pick-me-up!

  22. I loved your video with the makeup artist from Deauville...all those new fall colours! I could sure use a little inspiration when it comes to MY makeup Donna! I would LOVE a makeover (I think most of my makeup is a couple of years old - LOL) Fingers crossed! : )

  23. On another note, I don't think I've been to a spa since my wedding, 11 years ago! I am so out of touch with what's going on in the beauty/fashion world right now... I could really use a little boost! : )

  24. Donna, the only make-up I seem to put on these days is on OTHER people (I'm a face painter)... Pick me for the make-over so I can have someone do MY make-up (and hair, and wardrobe and jewellery and...) : )
LOVE the new show by the way... I've been listening every day and the new sound is great!

  25. Hi Donna, I'm so glad you are doing this wonderful make over. Actually this maker is not for me. Its for my good coworker and friend Gail. She always thinks of other people.
For Christmas she helps the homeless and now she is helping me. Since I been home on sick leave and finally got the the call from the U.S to go do my operation for MS (Liberation) Gail has been baking and organizing a fund raising for me at work so I could do this operation. I always see the TV shows in the U.S to give back. I always wish that it could happen here. Now its my opportunity to give back to a friend.
    I love the new Beat:)

  28. Donna, I enjoy hearing you on the radio and would love to meet you in person. The women who had makeovers in your video look amazing! I'm a 47 year old teacher and single mom of two preteen girls, who leads a very busy life. I don't take enough time to take care of myself and could really use some expert advice on how to "shine" more!

  29. Hi Donna,
I love listening to your show. I enjoy hearing about what you are dealing with because I identify with you andyour experiences.
Soooo, I am thrilled that you are running this contest.
I could really use a redesign! I love make up, but could definately benefit from learning how to better apply it, and other application methods. I also play with my haircolour. I'm not sure if that's because I haven't found the best colour for myself or because I like to change it .....
Keep up with your commentaries, I love them.

  31. Hi Donna,
I love your show and I love the idea of the makeover. I would love to have the make over but, I would love it more for my friend Gail. Gail is a single mother and she works so hard also she helps people in need like the homeless. She never takes care of herself. I would love to give back in appreciation of what she does. I saw your videos and I know you would turn her into a knockout. Not that you do a great job your beautiful inside and out:)

  32. Hi Donna
Hope I'm not to late to enter your great makeover...I would love to change my image or look or even enhance it. My kids still say i'm stuck in the 80's era and my sister even contacted Oparah for one of their make-overs on TV 2 years ago...Unfortunately i wasn't one of the chosen ones. Maybe this time I can be...crossing my fingers.....xxxxx

  33. Hi Donna,
I am a 51 year-old mother of two older boys, so not too much girlie stuff st home. I used to go with my mom to have our hair done together every 7 weeks, but she passed away a year ago and I haven't felt the same about going without her. So I haven't had my hair done in over a year, except for home dye jobs. I try but it just doesn't seem to work, perhaps with a professional?????? I love your show and have it on the radio every day at home and at work.

  36. Hi Donna.Do I need a makeover, yes more then you can imagine. But as I read through everyones stories, it is clear that we are all hoping we can convince you that we are more deserving then the next. But since there can be only one winner, I would like to propose an idea.Maybe you can organize a girls night out and give us all a make-up lesson. Thanks Donna
